A Little About the ARW

THE AMERICAN RESCUE WORKERS, founded in 1884, is a National Religious and Charitable movement organized and operated on a quasi-military pattern and is a branch of the Christian Church. Its membership includes Officers (Clergy), Soldiers/Adherents (Laity), members of varied activity groups and Volunteers who serve as advisors, associates and committed participants in its service functions.

THE ORGANIZATION is motivated by the love of God and a practical concern for the needs of humanity. The purpose is to preach the Gospel and undertake the Spiritual uplifting and the providing of material aid to all persons in need regardless of race, color, creed, sex or age.

THE AMERICAN RESCUE WORKERS cooperates with all other believers in every possible way. We try to fulfill the Commission given by Jesus in the Book of Matthew, Chapter 25, verses 36 to 46 inclusive: I was hungry, "Ye gave me meat," I was thirsty, "Ye gave me drink," I was a stranger, "Ye took me in," I was naked, "Ye clothed me," I was sick, "Ye visited me," I was in prison, "Ye came to me." Jesus said, "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto Me."
